The Journal of Pharmacy and Pharmacology (JPP) is continually evolving to reflect recent developments in the pharmaceutical sciences. The journal is read worldwide and boasts a respected international editorial board. Greater emphasis is now placed on how drug action may be optimised by new technologies, and attention given to understanding and improving drug interactions in the body. JPP keeps pace with these changes while at the same time maintaining established and well respected core strengths in areas such as Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Biopharmaceutics and Drugs from Natural Sources
Original research papers, critical reviews and communications are published monthly on those sciences which contribute to the development and evaluation of medicinal substances.
Impact factor:
The annual journal impact factor is a measure of the frequency with which an ‘average article’ in a journal has been cited in a specific year. Impact factors are determined by the organisation ISI from a selected list of journals that fulfill defined selection criteria. The journal impact factor is calculated by dividing the number of current year citations to source items published in that journal in the previous two years by the number of articles published by the journal during that two year period.
The 2007 impact factor for the Journal of Pharmacy and Pharmacology is 1.718 (© Thomson Reuters Journal Citation Reports 2008).
